I put on some trash TV and fixed myself a cup of tea, ready to empty my brain and relax. I had some time to relax for the first time in a while. I took a deep breath, feeling the soothing warmth of my tea and enjoying the moment.

The serenity lasted only a few minutes before the anxiety kicked in. My hands and feet wanted to move, to work. My mind insisted, incorrectly, that there was something I needed to do. I tried to shoot it down, tell myself I just wasn’t used to relaxing, to having a moment to myself. Then my mind played the particularly rude trick of convincing me something was going horribly, terribly wrong at the bakery.
